Sincerely, The Longest Week of Your Life

This last week has seriously been the absolute longest week of my life. The week itself felt like it took forever, but each individual day felt even longer. Everyone gave up this week, even my teachers gave up. We were just absolutely done. So here's a quick recap from the utter he** that this last week has been. Monday-      Monday was a B day. I woke up late, as usual. I was rushing out the door, no makeup, acne in full rage, at approximately 7:23. Also, it was raining/snowing/hailing/sleeting outside. Abbi and I were rushing into the school, trying to make it to our classes on time. We walked inside the front entrance and I started to slip. Luckily, I caught myself. But, as I looked back to Abbi to tell her that I almost just fell,  her legs slipped right out from under her and did a complete butt flop onto the ground. Ouch!     Following that, I helped her up off the ground and we just stood there hysterically laughing. A few...

10 Things to Know About Me...

Since I'm still fairly new to this blog thing, I thought I'd preface myself a little bit. So here's 10 things that you may or may not already know about me. 1. I'm a TOTAL germaphobe! My germaphobia has surfaced in the last few years. The idea of eating without washing or sanitizing my hands first, disgusts me. When I was little I didn't care at all, but now I can almost feel the germs crawling on my hands. Yuck! But, anyone who knows me knows that I always have "hanitizer" on my person at all times. So, feel free to ask if you're ever in a bind. 2. I don't handle high stress situations well. My parents often refer to my sister and me as the perfect babysitting pair. I do the main part of the job by changing diapers, cooking, and maintaining the general well-being of the kids. Meanwhile, if you asked my sister to do these things, she will most likely throw cereal at the kids and yell, "fetch!" Food and a game, right?  But, if...

Walkout and Walk Up

Today at school was National School Walkout at 10:00 am. The purpose of this walkout was to voice students opinions on the reoccurring issue of gun violence in schools. This morning, someone asked me why I was participating, if it "didn't do anything anyway?" My response to this: as a student you have limited rights and freedoms. However, you are required to go to school. I am not afraid to go to school, nor do I feel that I am in danger to be a victim of gun violence at my school. However, it is still a growing issue everywhere. An issue that we are confronted with almost biweekly. What else am I supposed to do? If students and teachers are in direct line of potential danger. Shouldn't we be the ones whom have our voices heard? So, it does do something. It tells those whom we have trusted to make our laws, that their is something wrong that needs to be fixed.      Anyway, the walkout was amazing. Over half our school participated by leaving 2nd per...

Registration

In my previous post, I mentioned that I was a sophomore in high school. I have learned a lot about life this last year. So, here’s a couple things I learned from being the “fresh meat” at VHS this year. It’s not as scary as it looks. Last February I went on a tour of my high school to adjust me to the school and help me understand what classes I might want to take. Let’s just have a quick recap of that day. I woke up that morning covered in blood. Ahhh yes, the bloody nose fairy came for a visit, one of the loveliest features of living in such a dry place. I dealt with it and moved on. I got to math and my nose started gushing again. I barricaded myself in the bathroom for a good 20 minutes until my friend came in to tell me the buses to VHS were leaving. Poo! I grabbed a box of tissues, hopped on the bus, an hoped for the best. The bloody nose went on for 2 HOURS!! I was so embarrassed to be walking around with a stupid tissue sho...

Getting to Know You, Getting to Know All About You...

Hi everyone! My name is Allie. My hobbies include baking, singing, acting, binge watching, learning about Disney, and internet stalking (don't try to tell me that you don't do it). I'm a sophomore in High School and quite honestly, I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life. So, come on this journey with me throughout my High School years. I promise laughs, love, and lots and lots of Disney!
